Our Adoption Process

1. Submit an Application: Complete our online adoption application with honest and detailed information. Thoughtful responses help us make the best possible matches.
2. Application Review: Our team carefully reviews each application to ensure it’s a good fit for both the dog and your household.
3. Virtual Home Check: A virtual home check may be required to confirm a safe and appropriate environment.
4. Virtual Meet & Greet: If approved, we’ll schedule a virtual meet and greet so you can get to know the dog and ask any questions.
5. Transport Coordination: Once approved, we work with adopters to coordinate safe transport from the dog’s foster home using trusted ground or air transport partners. We adopt nationwide, but adopters should be prepared to assist with at least one leg of transport when required.
6. Decompression Course: Before adoption is finalized, adopters are required to complete a brief decompression course that covers the transition period and helps ensure a successful start at home.
7. Finalize Adoption: Sign the adoption contract, submit the adoption fee, and welcome your new dog home.

Before You Apply

Before submitting an application, please review the following:

• All application information must be truthful and accurate.
• If you currently have or have had pets, you should have an established relationship with a licensed veterinarian.
• If you rent or live in an HOA-regulated community, it is your responsibility to confirm that pets, breed, and size are allowed.
• Application processing may be delayed if veterinarians, landlords, HOAs, or references are unresponsive.
